MY “WHY”

I first got into health and fitness about 3 years ago when I suffered from really bad anxiety and depression. I remember waking up one more so uneasy & unhappy I could not make it out of my own bed. I thought I was losing my mind or going crazy. I decided to do research because we wouldn't... I looked up my symptoms of what I was going through (felt like I was de-attached from reality, my heart felt like it was going to fly out of my chest, constant headaches, sweating 24/7 etc.)

And at that moment, I figured out I was suffering with extreme anxiety and mild depression. I almost dropped out of college, I wanted to leave my university and my friends, and I felt I could not handle the world anymore. I am truly blessed I got the help I needed then, but my psychiatrist at the time told me I need to take care of myself better. He said I needed to work out consistently and to eat a well-balanced diet. I started to google different "diets" to follow to help with anxiety. At first, a good majority of them weren't making any sense to me and it felt very restrictive. I then started to do my own research on how gut health is so important to our mental and physical body. Understanding gut health has changed the way I have lived completely. I started to juice more, eat more veggies and fruits, took meat out of my normal diet and completely morphed myself into a new human being.

My goal was to find my GLOW UP! I was in search to find the best version of myself and I finally have. I still am improving my health everyday in different ways, but I have completely changed my life for the better.
